Ashgate Primary School Refurbishment, Derby

Ashgate Primary School Refurbishment

The redevelopment of Ashgate School for Derby City Council  involved the modification and upgrading of a semi Gothic Grade II listed building which dates from 1879. The project involved working on a live, school site 500 metres from Derby City Centre, and managing multiple phases of work whilst keeping disruption to the staff, pupils and other stakeholders to a minimum.

Following winning this project via a competitive single stage traditional procurement route (under the JCT standard form with quantities) we have provided temporary accommodation and fully DDA compliant toilets to enable the phased nature of the works to be efficiently programmed. The project involved working closely with the clients’ in-house design team and the local conservation officer to successfully deliver the project.
